About

We got into this to cut through the fear-mongering.

Radon is a real, well-documented risk — the second-leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S. after smoking. It’s also an easy thing to oversell. We built Outlaw Radon around not doing that.

Our approach

More than half of Colorado homes test above the EPA’s action level, and Weld and Larimer counties both carry the agency’s highest radon-potential rating. Most radon companies test AND sell the mitigation system, which means the incentive to find a problem is baked in before anyone sets foot in your basement. We don’t do that — we don’t test at all. Bring us a result from a DIY kit, a home inspector, or a real estate transaction test, and we’ll give you an honest read on whether mitigation is worth it, with zero incentive to talk up your number.

We work on three things: radon mitigation systems, sump pumps, and crawlspace ventilation — all aimed at keeping soil gas and groundwater out of your living space.

We’re a small, Colorado-based crew out of Milliken. No call centers, no commission-driven sales visits, no “today only” pricing — just a technician who explains what your number means and what, if anything, it’s worth doing about it.

What we hold ourselves to

  • Honest numbersWe work from whatever result you bring us and tell you straight whether a system will meaningfully change it — even when the answer is that it’s not worth doing.
  • Clear explanationsEvery quote is walked through in plain language, including what your number does and doesn’t mean for your specific house.
  • $No upsellsIf your home’s below the EPA action level, we’ll say so, and we won’t push a system you don’t need.
  • Licensed & insuredOur technicians train to EPA and National Radon Proficiency Program mitigation standards and carry current state licensure.

Where we work

Based in Milliken, we cover Weld and Larimer counties and reach into the broader Front Range for the right job. If you’re just outside that range, ask — we often still make it work.

  • Weld County — Milliken, Johnstown, Windsor, Greeley, Firestone
  • Larimer County — Loveland, Fort Collins
  • By request — Denver metro & Boulder
